The Johnson's: Fall is here

Last weekend we were in Grants Pass, and I haven't had time since then to blog. David fished in a tournament with his dad that weekend. They didn't win the tournament, but he brought home a tool box that he won in the raffle. Just what we need, more junk! David's mom, Reese and I did some shopping while the guys were fishing. I didn't buy much, just some curtains for our house. We did buy some new living room furniture last week. Hopefully we will be able to sell our old stuff before we move.

We are still waiting to find out when we will be closing on the house. Our contract says November 16th, but we didn't think it would take that long, since the offer was accepted the first week of October. Our agent has been waiting to hear back from the selling bank as to when we will be closing, but we haven't heard anything back. We are getting a little anxious, as we put in our 30 day notice at our apartment, and that is up on Nov 4. The landlord said she would work with us if we need to stay longer, and at this point I don't think we will be moved by then.

I had 3 job interviews last week. Already got the call back that I didn't get one of them. The other two will take a couple weeks to make a decision, so hopefully one of them will work out. An accounting manager position opened up today that I am going to apply for. It's something I would really like, but don't think I am quite qualified enough.

We don't have much planned for this week. Just hopefully get some more packing and cleaning done. Congrats to my friend Miranda, who had a baby girl late last week. She sure is cute! Happy birthday today to my sister! I also have some videos to post, but have to wait for David to convert them and get them off the camcorder before I can post them.
