Little Explorer

The last two weeks have been busy for us. Nov. 5th was our fourth anniversary. We didn't do much, just went out for dinner. A big change from our first anniversary, when we went to Vegas. Our lives have changed so much since we got married!

Last week I finally got a job offer! I will be starting tomorrow, as a credit analyst for Jeld-Wen. I am looking forward to getting back to the 'real' world, but have realized that I will miss my little guy a lot. Since he was born, the most time I have been away from him is about 4 hours. A friend of ours will be watching him. I'm glad that we are able to leave him with someone that we know, and that he won't have to be at a daycare, especially with all of the flu stuff going around this year.

We still have not closed on our house either. The issue this week was with the appraisal, which had to be redone, putting our closing day off another week. We have been told that this coming week we will have loan docs, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that by next weekend we can at least get the keys! We got all of our painting supplies, got the tile for the kitchen floor, and had the bedrooms measured for carpet, so we are all ready to go, except to buy the paint. We are going to tear out the old carpet ourselves, and I have a feeling that will be an interesting process...

Hard to believe Reese is coming up on his 6 month birthday! He sure has been growing. Last week we got him started on cereal, and he does really well with it.

First time eating cereal

He also has been getting into all kinds of things. He's still not crawling, but he scoots and rolls around until he gets where he wants to be. He has started reaching for things, and gets mad when he can't quite get them.
Tearing up the phone book. I was calling some places to get price quotes for daycare, and left the room for a minute to call, and when I came back this is what he was doing.

Not sure what was going on here. David and Reese were playing while I was making dinner.

Getting into the tv stand...
Then hiding under the coffee table. He ends up here a lot.

It got cold this week, so we got to get out some of his winter stuff. I don't think he really likes the mittens.
My dad lets me play with the remote.
