Merry Christmas, a little late. I don't know where the time since November has gone. We made our trip to North Dakota for a week for Christmas. My niece's baby Serenity, who is 6 weeks older than Reese, got to spend the first 5 days of our trip with Reese. They weren't quite sure of each other at first, until Serenity got brave and decided she wanted to attack Reese. It took them a couple days to get use to each other, but they did eventually play together.
On Christmas eve morning, Reese and Serenity got baptized together in a private service. It was nice, and went well. Despite the weather, everyone made it. We also got to take some family pictures, which turned out well. Christmas eve night, we opened gifts. Reese was more interested in getting the paper off the boxes and eating it, than he was interested in his gifts. He did get some toys that he likes, especially a train from Uncle Doug. He has been playing with it constantly, I think I will start hearing it in my sleep. Thanks, Doug.
On Christmas day, we had plans to go see the rest of our relatives, but ND weather did not cooperate. We got lucky and were home for the first blizzard of the winter. We planned to stay home for the day. Our flight was scheduled to leave early the next morning, so after lunch, we decided we better drive to Bismarck, so we could get on our flight. Dad drove us, and everyone else stayed home. Was not fun to have to leave on Christmas day, but we didn't have much of a choice. So, we drove in the storm and stayed overnight in a hotel. Just before we were ready for bed, we found out our flight in the morning was canceled. I got on the phone and got rebooked on a later flight, which ended up getting canceled too. Very long story short, we weren't suppose to get back to Klamath until Sunday night, but got very lucky and made it home Saturday night. Our suitcase did not show up until Jan. 2, but at least it made it.
We spent all of New Years day hanging pictures and finally got everything unpacked and put away. I took a bunch of pictures of the house, but I will have to post them next time. I have too many cute pictures from Christmas to post!
