More firsts

I love to look at myself in the mirror

So I realized that it has been a long time since I've last posted. Things are finally quieting down at our house after the last month and a half of many firsts...

At the beginning of May, Reese got his first haircut. The lady gave him a sucker and he sat very nice on my lap and ate it. I think she was more nervous than we were, he hands were shaking the whole time. By the time we were done, the whole cape he was wearing was full of drool.
My parents and brother were here for about a week for Reese's birthday. David's family came over the weekend before his birthday for a bbq and to open presents. He really didn't care about opening his gifts, just wanted to play with the paper. He had a cupcake too but he didn't really get into it. He is still too lazy to feed himself! On his birthday, we had some of ours & Reese's friends over. He had a good time playing and eating ice cream. And he finally started walking on his own on his birthday! Before that he would take a couple steps toward someone but on the 18th he decided he could walk off on his own and go where he wants. He still isn't sure how to get up without pulling himself up onto something.

While my family was here, they got many much needed projects done. They took the god awful shower doors off and got Reese's dressers painted just to name a few. We are still finding things to do and are waiting for summer to get here. It is June and we still haven't really had a nice warm day yet.

Last weekend, a couple of David's college friends came over for the weekend. We hadn't seen them for over a year and he enjoyed being able to hang out with them. They all went golfing while Reese and I stayed home. It was nice to have a long weekend, even though I didn't get much done. Next weekend David is going to a fishing tournament, so I'm hoping to get caught up on scrapbooking while Reese naps.
